Oprah and Co are not be Truthful about NIgeria
Related to country: Nigeria

Oprah Winfrey through her show in April 2007 projecting Nigeria as the home of fraudsters was absolutely barbaric. It was not surprising though because many Americas are fond of reporting Nigeria in a bad light but they have never for once report on the achievements and contribution of Nigerians to the success of their economy.
A Nigerian in America design the fastest computer in the world, nobody reported on that; A Nigerian also in America design and electric car of GM motors; Oprah and her cohort do not deem it fit to report on that; A Nigerian is one of the greatest mathematician and Physicts in America today, we don't hear anything about him. Thousands of Nigerian Trained Doctors are saving lives in America and Oprah could not aired a show to commend this Nigeria but went and air a show on few Nigerian scammers that are not up to the many Nigerian that are contributing positively to the economy of the USA.
In Nigeria, before this show was aired, we held Oprah Winfrey in high esteem, she is hghly respected especially with the case of Tommy Hilfiger, but after the show we are all disappointed with what she did. She need to apologised to Nigeria for bastardising the Nigeria image that is on its way to recovery.

You are so Right!
If Oprah's Winfreys intentions were honest (if she only wanted to keep people on the alert about general fraud occurences) she wouldnt have crossed the many lines she did. I wonder if she had NIgeria origins, if she'd have done her show in a similar manner. A lot of honest and hardworking Nigerias exist out there..............they need encouragement....because they inspire a lot of people!

I think none of us has the authority to conclude that Nigeria is the home of fraudsters. Not all people on that country are committing fraud. Fraudsters are scattered everywhere. Maybe one day you’ll just woke up seeing your neighbor being arrested because of committing fraud. That’s why we need to be careful who are we going to trust. Most of us have run across an email scam at one point or another. Several popular email scams (beyond just insipid chain letters) included giveaways from Microsoft or the Gates Foundation, or unclaimed money from a foreign national. One of the most rampant scams making its rounds these days is the Nigeria scam. You get an email from someone claiming that for a cash advance they'll send you money unclaimed from the Nigerian government or royal family, or oil reserves. Warning-if you fall for it, you won't be seeing your money again. Unless you're actually contacted by a verifiable Nigerian official, don't do anything – delete the message, because it's an email scam.
